Obituary: Maulana Sayyid Shamim us-Sibtain Rizvi

Hujjat al-Islam wal Muslimeen Maulana Sayyid Shamim us-Sibtain Rizvi (may Allah have mercy on him) was born in 1933 in the city of Chhaulus, District of Bulandshehr, in the province of Uttar Pradesh (India). His father, Sayyid Ghulam us-Sibtain Rizvi taught English and was a famous Urdu poet. He was known as ‘Tapan,’ which was his pen name for writing poetry. Maulana’s mother was from Shikarpur, Uttar Pradesh and was a very religious and modest woman.
